finally, the weather cooperated for round 2 - we got lovely sunshine on a beautiful sunday afternoon.

to birth my photoblog: recent images of a beautiful pregnant momma

i've been wanting to start a photo blog for quite awhile.  it's really a perfect form of expression for me in a way, because i love to write, i love to tell stories, and i love to take pictures.  and here it can all come together.  i can tell stories about the awesome people that i'm fortunate to work with, let them know how much i appreciate them, and share some of their beauty with you.  and of course i will intersperse bits of my own story.

so here it is.  as the light returns, and we enter this time of celebration and renewal, i begin again.  with something (else) new. always gotta keep it fresh.

this is my first 'official' maternity shoot.  this was especially fun since i have known this woman, who is now a successful attorney, since elementary school, here in arlington.  and she looks pretty much exactly as i remembered her after not having seen her since i graduated high school  a good 18 years ago.  :)  especially now that she has that glow about her, the excitement & wonder of growing a new life, and the anticipation of meeting this special little being.  rebecca wants to surprise her husband with some pictures of this special time.

the weather did not cooperate with our plans to shoot outdoors in the sunshine somewhere.  it was rainy & icky.  so, we shot indoors, at my place.  we'll have round 2 this weekend, weather permitting.  these are a few of my faves from round 1.  i still want to tweek the edits on these a bit further.  more to come.
